Intelligence
See what AI platforms say about your brand
Overview
The Intelligence module monitors AI platforms to understand how your brand is positioned in AI-generated responses. This helps you:
- See how AI describes your product to potential customers
- Track your ranking against competitors
- Identify queries where you are mentioned (or should be)
- Monitor sentiment trends over time
How it works
AI Positioning Score
Your AI Positioning Score is a 0-100 composite metric that indicates how well your brand is positioned in AI responses:
| Score range | Interpretation |
|---|---|
| 80-100 | Excellent. You are prominently featured in AI responses with positive sentiment. |
| 60-79 | Good. You appear regularly but there is room for improvement in positioning or coverage. |
| 40-59 | Moderate. You are mentioned occasionally. Focus on increasing visibility. |
| 20-39 | Low. Competitors are dominating AI responses. Significant opportunity for improvement. |
| 0-19 | Minimal presence. AI platforms rarely mention your brand. |
Score components
The score is calculated from two main factors:
- Citation Rate (40%) — How often AI mentions your brand when users ask category questions (not brand-specific queries). Normalized to 50% = full points.
- Share of Voice (60%) — Your brand mentions divided by total brand mentions in category queries. Compared against expected fair share based on number of competitors.
Important: Only category queries count. When someone asks "What are the best CRM tools?" that counts. When someone asks "Tell me about Salesforce" that does not count—that's a brand-specific query and would artificially inflate your score.
Competitive ranking
Track how you rank against competitors based on total AI mentions. The competitive view shows:
- Competitive Rank — Your position based on total mentions. #1 means you are the most mentioned brand in your category.
- Share of Voice — Your brand mentions as a percentage of all brand mentions in category queries. If AI mentions 3 brands across all tracked queries and yours appears 15 times out of 45 total mentions, that's 33% share of voice.
- Average Position — Position strength when mentioned (1 = Leader recommendation, 2 = Strong alternative, 3 = Mentioned option).
- Trend — Whether your metrics are improving or declining compared to the previous period.

Mention analysis
The Mentions view shows every time your brand appeared in an AI response:
- Query — The question that triggered the mention
- Platform — ChatGPT with web search enabled
- Snippet — The relevant portion of the response
- Order Rank — When your brand was mentioned (1st, 2nd, 3rd...). First mentioned typically indicates strongest recommendation.
- Sentiment — Analyzed from context: positive (recommendation language), neutral, or negative (limitation language)
- Recommendation Strength — Strong ("I recommend"), Moderate ("consider"), Weak ("also available"), or Mention Only
- Competitors — Other brands mentioned in the same response with their relative positioning
