Stripe

Revenue attribution for SaaS and e-commerce

Overview

The Stripe integration connects your payment data to visitor analytics, letting you see exactly which traffic sources generate revenue. This is especially valuable for understanding the ROI of AI visibility.

With Stripe connected, you can answer:

  • How much revenue came from ChatGPT referrals this month?
  • What is the average order value for Perplexity visitors?
  • Which AI platform drives the highest-value customers?
  • What is the conversion rate from AI traffic to paid customers?

Connect your Stripe account

  1. Go to your Loamly dashboard → Settings Integrations
  2. Find Stripe and click Connect
  3. You will be redirected to Stripe to authorize the connection
  4. Select the Stripe account you want to connect (if you have multiple)
  5. Click Connect to authorize Loamly
  6. You will be redirected back to Loamly

Permissions

Loamly requests read-only access to your Stripe data. We can see payment and customer information but cannot modify anything in your Stripe account.

How attribution works

Loamly matches Stripe payments to website visitors using email address correlation:

  1. Visitor tracking: When someone visits your site, Loamly creates a visitor record and tracks their journey
  2. Form capture: If the visitor submits a form with their email, Loamly associates that email with their visitor record
  3. Payment matching: When a Stripe payment comes in, Loamly looks for a visitor record with that customer's email
  4. Attribution: If a match is found, the revenue is attributed to that visitor's original traffic source

Email matching requirement

Revenue attribution requires that visitors submit a form with their email before paying. Make sure your signup or checkout flow captures email addresses that Loamly can track.

Attribution window

By default, Loamly uses a 30-day attribution window. If a visitor first arrives from ChatGPT and converts within 30 days, the revenue is attributed to ChatGPT, even if they returned via direct traffic.
